Dojo opens at 7:30 p.m., with practice starting at 8:00 p.m.
Practice ends at 10:00 p.m.

Parking:

Parking is available at the northwest corner of Paulina and Cullom.  The parking lot entrance is located in the alley west of the school playground.

To enter the alltey from the north, the alley entrance is on Montrose between Paulina and Hermitage.  To enter the alley from the south, the alley entrance is on Cullom, between Paulina and Hermitage.  Note Cullom is a one-way street heading east.

Practice Routine:

Generally, practice is organized as follows:
     .   Beginner practice and kata pratice start at 8:00 p.m
     .   Warm-up starts and 8:45 pm
     .   Fundamental "uchi-komi" practice starts at 9:00 p.m
     .   "Ji-geiko" starts at 9:30 p.m

Fees and Costs:

CKD is a not-for-profit organization.  Members are encouraged to pay dues to help support dojo operating costs, which include rent, visiting sensei and seminar fees and social functions.

For beginners just starting, no uniform or special attire is necessary; comfortable exercise clothes (sweatpants, t-shirt/ sweatshirt) are fine.  You will need to buy a “shinai.”  Keiko-gi, hakama and bogu (protective armor) can be purchased once a beginner has participated in an appropriate number of practices.
